Charles A. Aziegbemhin is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dili Capital Corp. in Toronto Canada. Since the founding of DiliCapital and its predecessor Company, Lepton Financial Corp in 2006, Charles has been instrumental in the strategic direction of the Firm, and the financing, acquisition, restructuring, management, acquisition, and disposition of investment assets of over USD$2 billion. He heads the firm’s structured financing practice.
Charles has extensive work experience in structured finance, real estate, the equity markets, debt instruments, insurance, renewable energy and management. He has championed and built a reputation for developing business models and strategies that help incubate new companies into revenue-generating engines for engineering companies, real estate investment firms; and mortgage investment entities.
Charles began his career with Celestica-IBM and SpaceTech. In 2003 while working in ECCMOX in Markham, Ontario, Charles led a team of engineers and consultants to collaborate with SNC Lavalin Profac to implement a massive greenhouse gas reducing project for the Government of Canada that saves the Government hundreds of millions of dollars.
He holds a master degree in electrical and computer engineering with a specialization in financial engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto. He is a Professional Engineer, and also holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations from the Canadian Security Institute. He is the author of the bestselling book, “Private Mortgage Wealth”.
Fatma has over twenty years of experience working at all levels at various international organizations within the Financial Services Sector both in Turkey and the UK. She specializes in strategic and management consulting, program/project management, due diligence, financial modeling, valuations, financial and regulatory reporting, internal & external auditing, business model designs & transformations, data management, risk & compliance, and change management.
She has the management responsibility for DiliCapital’s governance, operations, finance, and corporate development functions. She heads the Consulting Practice, where she leads the team for the successful and effective planning, design, execution, monitoring, risk management, controlling, and closure of projects.
Before joining DiliCapital, Fatma founded BNAS Ltd, a UK based boutique consulting firm. Before founding BNAS, she worked for international consulting firms and Big Four (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, SMART, Mazars), where she has successfully led and delivered various public and private projects to State Governments, banks, insurance companies, brokers, rating agencies, Lloyds of London and to the regulatory bodies in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Fatma received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, where she received an Honor’s degree. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant. She also holds certifications in project management, lean/six sigma, and risk management.
Tony is a highly analytical individual with considerable experience a with IBC in Canada, managing projects with varied complexities. He is an insurance expert with over 20 years of work experience in over twenty countries including Africa, Quarter, the UAE, the UK, USA and Canada. He coordinated, managed, monitored the development and construction of major iconic financing projects in the Canada and the USA.
Tony has dealt with major contracts negotiations, set up infrastructure bond programs, reviewed finance and insurance legislation in various jurisdictions, and projects involving medium to high complexities with multiple stakeholders such as utility companies and regulatory authorities in the Middle East, Europe, and Canada. He is very skilled in financial and insurance reviews, litigation supports, project implementation, and report writing with analytical skills to identify problems and provide solutions.
Tony enjoys volunteering and philanthropy. He is a trustee and Co-Chair of the Tony and Jane Spadaro Foundation. He holds a master degree in computer science, and a fellowship with the Chartered Institute of Insurance Professional. He is also certified project manager.
Vip has over forty-five years of experience in accounting, finance, and investments, with a focus on taxation, internal audit, and new financial products. Additionally, he has extensive experience in investment markets with Schedule 1 Canadian banks. In 1969 while working with Peat Marwick, Mitchell in London, England, he became a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, before relocating to Montreal, Canada to work with McDonald, Currie which became Coopers, Lybrand, and now Price, Waterhouse Coopers (PWC).
Vip later worked with many Canadian multinational corporations, among many are Bank of Montreal’s New Venture group, Consolidated Bathurst, as Director, Audit and Controller, Scotiabank, Manulife Bank, and Wood Gundy. He also worked overseas while on assignments with The World Bank, based in Washington D.C.
Vip has served on many corporate boards over the years, including as the Chairperson for the Canadian Federal Board of Referees for Employment Insurance. He is a Life Member of the Chartered Professional Accountants, Ontario.
Michael is a seasoned financial services executive with extensive international investment and management experience. He spent ten years as a Technical Advisor to the World Bank Group, mandated to review the financial landscape of countries, and to advise Government on ways to rejuvenate their dormant bond market. He works as an investment banker and consultant. As an investment banker he built global sales and trading operations for banking Capital, and responsible for the oversight of Asset Management, Stockbrokers, and Insurance Brokers. As a consultant, he worked with clients like central banks, security and exchange commission, and commercial banks.
Before joining the World Bank Group, Michael had a successful career as a bank treasurer and investment counsel in Canada. He developed the first foreign bond fund in the country and sat on the Asset Mix Committee of Laketon Investment Management. While SVP and Treasurer of UBS Canada, Michael was a representative on the Bank of Canada hosted Canada Foreign Exchange Committee and has sat on the Fixed Income and Wealth Management Committees of the Toronto chapter of the CFA Society.
At Logan Wealth Management, Michael sits on the Executive Committee and Chairs the Investment Committee as well as working on corporate strategy and development. In addition to his professional activities, Michael is the Treasurer and Chair-in-Waiting of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada and Vice-Chair of Lupus Canada.
Mr. Patel has considerable experience managing EPC projects with varied complexities, involving multi-disciplinary project teams. Nisar is an Engineer with more than twenty years of work experience with the Jacques Whitford Ltd. (Stantec), Hatch Mott Mac Donald, McCormick Rankin Corporation, Toronto Transit Commission, City of Toronto, and MEC Global Group Ltd. He has extensive experience with challenging infrastructure projects, a proven track record of successful completion of multidisciplinary projects involving buildings, bridge, and structures; extensive Project Management, Construction Management working for the City of Toronto, Toronto Transit Commission and reputed consulting companies.
Nisar has dealt with various types of contracts, contract claim reviews and negotiation with a good understanding of Contract Law, Construction Lien Act, and related legislation, worked on projects involving medium to high complexities and multiple stakeholders such as utility companies (Enbridge/Bell/Rogers), agencies as railways (CN/CP/Metrolinx/TTC/GO Transit) and regulatory authorities (TRCA/MNR/Urban Forestry and Ravine protections). He is very skilled in engineering review, constructability review, and technical report writing with analytical skills to identify problems and provide engineering solutions.
Nisar is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, certified project management professional. He holds a B.Sc. Civil Engineering and B. Law degrees accredited by the Federation of Law Society of Canada.
